Bianca Brennan named in Australian 17/U Netball Squad

Mid West Academy of Sport athlete Bianca Brennan has achieved an outstanding milestone, earning selection in the 2026 Australian 17/Under Netball Squad.

The Geraldton defender has had a standout year, first being selected in the WA 17/U State Team before representing Western Australia at the National Netball Championships. Following a strong performance at Nationals, Bianca was named among Australia’s top emerging 17/U netballers.

At just 15 years old, Bianca’s achievement is even more impressive given the commitment required as a regional athlete. Her pathway has involved regular travel from Geraldton to Perth for training, trials and match play, balancing school, family support and a demanding high-performance schedule.

Bianca plays Goal Keeper and Goal Defence and continues to show the work ethic, resilience and coachability required to compete at the next level.

Her selection is a proud moment for Bianca, her family, Geraldton netball and the wider Mid West sporting community. It is also a strong reminder of the talent coming through regional WA and the importance of supporting young athletes to access high-performance opportunities.

Congratulations Bianca on this significant achievement. MWAS is proud to support your sporting journey.
